Default 1940 pickup hood mounting questions

Hey all

Picked up a 1940 ford truck in a snowstorm in missouri. She was basically a pile of parts. Im trying to mount the hood. Need help

Vanpeltsales.com grill & hood assy page has 1947

List parts 16796. 16802 (with spring)
16797. 16803 (with spring)

How does this attach to hood?

Any pix or reference would be appreciated

check a bob drake catalog. I took my 40 sedan fenders, hood, grill, bumpers, etc off so I could work on the engine. Then took it in for paint & body (apart). My body shop was very appreciative of me bringing in the catalog that showed how the different bolts fit. also I had bought all new fasteners for the whole car. We did a body off.
