Default Water Pump Install

I’m in the process of placing a New Water Pump, Gasket , and lower Radiator Hose on my 47 Ford with a 59 AB Engine. What should I use on my new water Pump and gasket and hoses before installing? Stay Safe! Thank!

Plenty of wheel bearing grease on the gasket surfaces. Also helps to smear some on the inside of the hose and its fittings

Jack's advice is good. Some use gasket cement or some other sticky stuff, but what goes on must one day come off... Besides, there will be no leaks from that area anyway.

Don't forget the bolt inside of the water pump outlet!
