I am replacing the water pumps on my 35 along with just cleaning up my engine and engine compartment so we are removing the engine and front sheetmetal. When we took the lower radiator hoses off of the engine the lower water inlets are just about corroded away where the hoses attach. I was wondering if anyone makes the lower inlets in the aftermarket. Any info would be appreciated thanks. Travis

I've never seen any reproduction '35 water inlet/front motor mount brackets. Don't trash your original set just yet. I believe a good welder could repair those corroded away areas on the water necks by adding material with a welding/brazing process. Good used pairs go for $65.00 to $75.00 per set.

Usually, Bill McGrath, Early Ford Store, San Dimas (google i-net site) has good used ones. Advice above, re weld repair, is good advice. As posted, don't ever toss the old ones... some of us have no choice but to repair them. JMO

Maybe you already know this but '35 and '36 outlets are different. The '36 angle downward, the '35 are straight. If you use the wrong engine outlets they won't match the radiator outlets and you can run the risk of having perpetually leaking hoses.

Another vote for repairing what you have.

Thanks guys upon further review mine aren't as bad as I thought. So I'm just gonna clean everything up and put it all back together.

Aren't the '35's the ones that angle down and the '36's fairly straight?
I'm looking at a set of each and the angle down pair have the 48 prefix
and the straight ones have the 68 prefix.

tjelwood was looking for water outlets the other day, I do have a pr. and they are 48 - prefix then part #. They do slant down slightly. I'll try to put up a pic or two.

If anyone's interested I repair these water neck/mounts. The frazzeled ends
are milled off then the opening is bored out round. An iron sleeve with a
shoulder turned on it is then pressed in so the shoulder butts up to the
neck. I apply a lot of epoxy prior to pressing things together because I've
discovered that the old iron doesn't take too well to welding or brazing.
When done they look like NOS.

Sounds like a great plan Charlie. I had thought about a thin liner inside to make them more solid. If anybody wanted these they can have them for $50.00 plus cost of shipping which shouldn't be a killer with "if it fits, it ships"
