Powder the inside of the tire casing real good so the tube will not get hung up or want to stick to a bare spot. I have purchased tubes when powder chalk was included. May be as much as a small handful. Powdered chalk does the same job as talcum powder.

My experience,

Chris W.

Use talcum on 'both' the inner tube and on the inside of each tire. Do not leave any 'build-up or clogs' on either - just a smooth coating.

Remember, you also have to deal with the application of the tire to the rim - which sometimes requires a lubricant to facilitate mounting.
