Powder the inside of the tire casing real good so the tube will not get hung up or want to stick to a bare spot. I have purchased tubes when powder chalk was included. May be as much as a small handful. Powdered chalk does the same job as talcum powder.

Use talcum on 'both' the inner tube and on the inside of each tire. Do not leave any 'build-up or clogs' on either - just a smooth coating.
Remember, you also have to deal with the application of the tire to the rim - which sometimes requires a lubricant to facilitate mounting. |
