Default Tachometer Hook-up 40 Flathead

I'd like to hook up a temporary Tach to see my cruising RPM's. Where do you hook the leads with this style coil?

Unless you have converted to 12 volts negative ground, or have a quite expensive (and rare) 6 volt positive ground tach (Westach), it going to be difficult. If you are 12 volts, negative ground and a readily available current tachometer, it should be easy. Red wire to power, black wire to ground, green wire to the lead from the distributor to the coil. (The white wire is for the light, but since this is temporary, I wouldn't worry about it.)

If you are still 6 volt positive ground, PM me; I have the solution for you.
