Don,

Check out their web site

http://www.kwik-way.com/company/company_history.htm

Perhaps they can suggest belts that would work.

Did you try here? http://www.kwik-way.com/cc/index.php...d&productId=14

I would google where to buy flat belts for some possible suppliers.

Use a serpentine belt they are available in many configurations and lengths. I replaced the leather belt on my southbend lathe with one very smooth and quiet.

I have a very similar 1929 Kwik-Way machine and Kwik-Way no longer has belts for this machine. I found the round leather belt for the lower drive at a local industrial sewing machine repair facility. I have found flat belts at McMaster Carr. The have a very good website at www.mcmaster.com McMaster even has round leather belt stock too. These are very good machines, even thought they are dry stones, with care they can give very good results.

Lots of vidios on making a scarf joints on a serpentine belt for lathes. The real shock is the lower round belt looks like rawhide for sewing machine for couple bucks but I choked on the shipping LOL
