Default Re: Toe-in adjustment

Guten Abend miteinander.

Today I did a test drive with the tie rod, which was now about 1.5 mm longer. The directional stability is better now, the car no longer wanders left and right, which I had to constantly correct before.

The steering is now noticeably heavier while driving, it no longer turns straight ahead out of the curve on its own. I think, this is probably due to the opposing sawtooth profile, as Katy described so nicely in post #16.

I would like to thank you all for the numerous and helpful tips!

The steering wheel return is usually the result of caster. But, maybe the feather edge is what is causing it to not return as it should. [ It should at least try].

Maybe rotating the tires would help. It'll certainly help even out the feather edge.
