Default Putting driver's door glass back in

I got my goor glass on Friday and am now trying to get it back in the door. I can't seem to get the roller on the front regulator to start in its track so I must be doing something wrong.

What I am trying to do is start the roller in the front edge of the track. I lower the regulator to the point that the front roller is in front of the track and then I try and pull back on the spring loaded part of the roller with my two fingers and my thumb behind the roller. When I try to move the roller in the end of the track my finger is in the way so all of a sudden I lose that and then the roller won't go in the track.

Is there a better way to do this?
Thanks,

Don't know for sure the car your working on. On my old 36 I wedged the glass with a couple of rubber for stops. Moved the regulator to it. Got it all set the eased the regulator and glass back into line for the regulator holes and set it.

When I did my 48 F1 I took the glass and put it in and then pushed it up and had someone hold it there while I moved raiser up enough to marry up with the bottom of the glass.

I got it it!!!

I did it by lowering the regulator enough to wher I could see what I was doing. Then I maneuvered the glass to where I could get that front roller in the track. Then. I carefully rolled the window up making sure that front roller did not come out if the track. Lastly I carefully got the rear roller in the track.

I hoe I never have to do that again.

Thanks for the help guys.
