Default Trico vacuum wiper plating

30/31 Deluxe models are usually equipped with Chrome plated windshield wipers. In my instance (30’ 68B) it is a TR-C1 B.

I would really like to get this correct on my car, and wonder if there is any special advice on the process to plate the pot metal parts of the wiper. This, as my usual plater would not touch the job, telling me it would turn out bad due to probable porosity in the metal.

I am hoping for advise on topics like for instance bake-out of the parts before plating or between each plating bath ? material sequence (copper-nickel-chrome ?), how to successfully mask off such that plating will not interfere with wiper operation.

Please note that I am NOT looking for suggestions on which US plating shop to use, since I am in Norway, thousands of miles from the US. I would really appreciate good advise based on experience, so that I could work with my customary plater on the process.
