Window regulator
I need to replace the window regulator on my 37 pickup. I found a re-pop at C&G Ford Parts. Does anyone have any experience with this particular regulator or other re-pop regulators from C&G. I also need a glass channel and I think they say you need to do some "slight" modification of the replacement channel. Any one know what needs to be done?
In the past I have found C&G to be a good supplier. Thanks. |

Re: Window regulator
HELLO....I too am looking for some verification on the window regulator for my '36 Ford pickup.
Per attached photo, can someone confirm that the orientation for the window regulator and window channel are correct for the passenger side door (if looking into the door). Also, when I ordered the new window regulators and channels, the channels came with the little rollers shown (photo coming soon). Should I change out what is currently attached to the window channel and replace with the roller type (maybe so for smoother operation). What is the purpose of the little roller. THANK YOU for all your help with this. Bruce in california |

Re: Window regulator
The window moves toward the rear a bit before it starts down, and when rolling up, it will reach the top and then move forward, hence, the rollers.

Re: Window regulator
You do not need to buy reproduction when n.o.s will do. I have both.

Re: Window regulator
I to have a question about the regulator position. Is the one in the photo correct? Since both of mine are out of the truck I am having difficulty visualing it. I wrestled with it for awhile and gave up. Thought it best to seek out advice here. I have a 36 pickup. Thanks, sk

Bbhf
I spent days trying to get the regulator in on my '37 Fordor drivers window until I discovered this video and then I got it done in about an hour. I hope this can help you too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdcN-ypFNBc |

Re: Window regulator
Robert, thanks for the link. Very helpful. The 36 pickup door does not have that nice big opening to allow your hands in. But seeing the process is great. Skip
