It depends on when the truck was built. Initially the were equipped with motor-driven horns similar to that used on Model As. As a running change, a vibrator-type horn was released in mid-July, 1932 and took the place of the earlier horn in production once the inventory of the motor-driven horn was depleted down to service requirements.

Also put an ad in the "WANTED" section telling exactly what parts you need.

DavidG
I have an Ahooga Horn that was sold to me very cheaply as a 32 Horn for a pickup.
It appears the same as a regular horn, but has a very short "horn" front. Make sense?

Sorry, no, as there was no difference whatsoever between the horns used on commercial vehicles and passenger cars, front, back or center, be it the motor-driven variety or the beep (vibrator) variety.

David's posts are right on as usual but you might post a couple of pictures to see if it is "part" '32.

Note the key word "similar". Not the same as the rear of the horn motor and cover were tapered to not interfere with the hood. Nicknamed the "boattail" horn.

Were the beep horns mounted on the headlight stud. I have a beep horn that looks like it mounted that way.

Only after the '32s. The horn itself was the same, but the bracket differed significantly given that the '32 mounted on the left front fender flange and the '33-'34 mounted beneath the left head lamp.
