Default 34 Column lock

I have a 34 column lock that is 77 years old today. I have to remove the locking cylinder in order to do some work on the sliding switch bolt. The pin holding the lock in place has been removed thus letting the lock slide out of its little hole but it won't budge. Im sure there is 77 years of rust and crap holding it in there sooooooooooo, any ideas on what to submerge the column lock in to help get rid of the rust? I will try most any ideas with in reason. Please someone help me out!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks,
Rod....................................
