Grey? 40 ford steering wheels
I have a really nice 40 standard wheel and it is grey. Is that stock? I also have a 40 delux wheel and it is also partly grey. The paint is really on there as lacquer thinner does nothing. I was planing to the paint the std. one black but may leave it alone if it is original. It does need paint as it is scrached on the rim. It is nice enough to be NOS other than the scraches.

Re: Grey? 40 ford steering wheels
I picked up a 40 Delux wheel a couple years ago at Hershey and it too is grey - might it been dealers themselves painting them, not being a factory color, Kube?

Re: Grey? 40 ford steering wheels
I suppose that's a possibility but that leads me to ask "why would they"?

Re: Grey? 40 ford steering wheels
Got me - boost sales by making the steering wheel color different or match the car? Dunno ......
