balancing 1939 pickup wheels
The vintage Commandor 6.00-16 tires have gone out of round. The problem is balancing. I talked with Speedway Motors and don't think their Wide 5 Wheel Adapter will work because the center hole may not be centered. The question is how to get my 10.25 bolt hole center wheel balanced. Need help.

Try a shop that does larger truck tires.

Re: balancing 1939 pickup wheels
I found an old automotive repair shop that could do large truck tires and used that wide five adapter. It worked out fine.

My local tire shop is willing to work with me and sort out a way to hang the rim/drum combination on the balancer. I haven't even gone that direction yet with regard to work on it but when I do I'll offer a full report/result. |
