Yo, New Buddy,
Are we insecure? YES! WE SPEND $$$$$$$$ JUST TO GET FOLKS TO LOOK AT US! When attention begins to "wane" just park in the middle of a parking lot, lay a 15" Crescent wrench on a rag on the gas tank, open the hood and begin to dust your 3-X spark plugs & folks will gather like FLIES to "HELP" you! Nice looking "A", I went from a 2005 SSR with LS2 to a 1928 Phaeton, I've had more fun with the "A" than the SSR. "Enjoy"

Louis,
NO, NO, NO, The black absorbs more heat, raises the tire pressure, causing LESS rolling resistance which = FASTER!! NASCAR Bill W.

Very nice looking car and you will enjoy the ride, space, and seats in the Town Sedan. I have a 1930 that I drive several times a week...just love it! If you are interested, they just revived the Town Sedan Club this year...they have back issues available with lots of interesting articles about the TC's. Have fun!!

So I finally found my first Model A and picked it up last weekend. It's a 1931 Slantwindow Fordor Canadian built Model A. It has the black upper and chocolate brown lower with an orange pinstripe and red wheels. The car was restored back in 2003. It seems to have lived most of its life in the Ohio / Michigan area for the last 40 years. I've been told by the last owner that I am the forth owner of the car. I have to say that changing from a Ferrari to a Model A has been a big change, but the A is so much more fun to drive... I get more looks, waves, and thumbs up then I ever did with the Ferrari... go figure, HA !!

Specs
1931 Ford Model A Fordor Town Sedan
Engine # CAS9506
Chassis Stamping # 15F453. (located on the crossmember in front of the drivers seat).
The difference is the Model A attracts more old men then young girls.

I used to think that the young girls were smiling at me, but then came to realize that they were pointing and laughing.

CONGRATS........welcome to the hobby and NEW lifestyle of owning an "A". They are fun to drive, sometimes agravating to maintain and will draw attention wherever you go.

Keep the cars appearance as you see fit.

If the vehicle has retained the "Robertson" screws, you may wish to hang on to them as they are unique to Canadian mfg.

Very nice car, enjoy driving it.
I wouldn't spend too much time trying to locate a number on the frame of a Canadian manufactured car, early on they may have stamped numbers on the frame, however by '30 - '31 Canada had stopped transferring the engine number to the frame.

Mpalilons,
Thanks for stopping by our club meeting last night. It was nice meeting you and seeing your car in person. You car is very impressive. It appears to have been well cared for since its restoration in the 70's. Hope you return to the club in the future.
