Default Windshield Installation

Before I start installing the new windshield in my '28 Coupe... do I need to slit the corners (outside slightly) on the inner rubber frame seal to prevent them from wrinkling or will the seal stretch and conform to groove OK. Thanks Always... Saltman

I cut 90* from the sides of the rubber seal, but left the rubber alone where it touches the outer edge of the glass. That way it froms a nice tight corner. Without the mitered corners, I'm sure there is no way the glass and rubber could fit the channel.
Or, are you asking about the rubber seal on the outside of the windshield frame?
