Re: Stipe shocks...
A lot of parts (and other things) are increasing in price, partly due to the trade sanctions our government put on import of materials. FWIW I paid $275 per Stipe shock in 12/2014, so $35 increase in ~6 years.

Re: Stipe shocks...
From what I hear they are worth every penny. I doubt they are getting rich making these. NFI

Re: Stipe shocks...
I think I would paint them. Otherwise I think they will rust.

Re: Stipe shocks...
I put the Stipes shock on my '31 A pickup. Handles a world better than without.

Re: Stipe shocks...
.
Looks like satin black. I think they dipped them in high gloss when new. |

Re: Stipe shocks...
What would guys say/think if you saw these shocks painted in wheel colour (apple green in my case) rather than black?

Re: Stipe shocks...
Erich,
I took a special satin black. Not deep black. A very little bit grey shadow; "eldered".
