Water in oil what next.

Over 2 years ago I got sidetracked from my project just as I was getting the motor started. I had fired it off and was getting some white smoke and extra fuel. so I was thinking I had both carb problems and possibly a water leak. Then I had to wrap up the project due to family emergency problems. So now I find the motor is stuck and the water has left the radiator and is in the oil pan. Since it is stuck I am figuring the first thing to look for is the bad cylinder(s).I am thinking the water went down the cylinder into the oil pan. So this weekend I will drain the oil water out of the oil pan. Is there an oil I can put in there that absorbs water? I remember from turbine pumps they had special oils that kept the water out of the pump bearings? on the outside of the motor I only see evidence of a few drops that leaked from a hose. I did not have anti-freeze in the cooling system as it was just a trial start. I can pressurize my the cooling system in the 34 re-cored radiator through the overflow tube. if that helps. also it is a 37 21 stud. appreciate any wisdom. I am waiting to look at the pan rail plugs till last.

Drain the pan and pull the heads, get sick and pull the motor, sounds like a rebuild.

If you are lucky it's a bad head gasket. If you are unlucky it may be a cracked block.

Did you retorque the heads after the initial fire up. I always retorque at least 3 times. You may just (hopefully) have a bad head gasket like TJ said. I hope you have good luck.

I wonder if you've thought of the freeze plugs in the pan rail,
They can leak into the oil pan.
