I don't have it on my car, it returns fine, but have seen one that hooks over the pedal arm and hangs down, with spring connected to motor mount hole
What condition are your anti rattle springs?

the heavy metal bracket wraps around the brake pedal, and the coil spring hooks to that bracket on one end and the motor mount on the other.

I have used for years. Works great. Our 29 has a completely rebuilt brake system. Everything new or rebuilt including all rods and springs. Still use the return spring. Paddle pops right back, hits the floor board.

I had one at one time. It was fine. Just didn't need it, so once when I was working on the car I did not put it back on.

When I bought my A the brake peddle would not fully return and the brake light stayed on. I installed the return spring from Brattons and and peddle returns all the way and brake light goes off.

I used one also. Returned the pedal great, but I found that actually fixing the problem worked great as well. Replaced bushings in brake and clutch pedals, new brake rods and anti-rattlers. inexpensive fixes that eliminated the need for the return spring

Imagine that! Fixing the problem actually fixing the problem. Without the need of additional parts (Bandaids?). Good job, twilder!

By a spring from your hardware store and fabricate your own brackets

But if we fix it the “correct way”. What will we “fix” next weekend?
