Default Rear brake rods

Well I got "Rusty's" rear end in today with a new rear spring from "Little Dearborn"....great people! This vehicle came with not a hint of brake rods. I have a new set. The fronts are pretty straight forward. Do the rear brake rods pass over running board brackets? Thanks as always...

You will likely have to grind on the repro brake rods to make them fit through the slots in the anti rattlers.

Going on memory here but you may need to have a good look at the repro rods as there was a problem with them breaking I think? Maybe someone can find the thread?

O.K. found it seems all is O.K. Sorry. http://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showpo...24&postcount=2

To answer your question, yes they do go over the running board brackets, as the photo shows.

Yes, that happened to my friend's 31 wide bed chassis about 10 years ago. I had Charlie push the brake pedal with his hand while I checked something. As he pushed, the eye snapped off the rod from the brake pedal. Sure lucky that it happened in the garage, as we had already test driven the chassis on the street a few times.

I'll trust Bratton's on this one.
