Re: Cars from my past, how about you
My first car was a 1937 Ford Fordor touring Sedan. I bought it in 1950, two weeks before my 16th birthday. In 1952 I bought a 1948 Mercury convertible. Then in 1953 I bought my first new car, a red 1953 Ford convertible. I got interested in hotrods in 1954 and bought a modified 1934 Ford roadster which I further modified/improved. My father kept this car for me while I was in the army from 1957 to 1959 and then I sold it as I had bought a new Volkswagen in Germany and brought it home. While I had the hotrod, I also had a beat up 1926 Model T roadster, a fairly nice 1928 Model A roadster and a fairly nice 1932 Model B pickup. That was the end of old Ford flatheads for me until 1988 when I started to collect the ones that I have now.

Re: Cars from my past, how about you
First car was a 1930 A Fordor, sold it to buy my '30 A cabriolet in 1968, just finishing up restoring it now. Pieced together a '28 A roadster p/u in '68 also to drive temporarily till I got the cabriolet restored--didn't figure it would be 45 years! Bought a new '70 VW van in England in the Army, still have it too, 287,000+ miles & second engine (a six cylinder 911 Porsche). I tend to hang onto cars. Wife has her first car too, 1931 A coupe bought in high school. Her second car is a 1968 Roadrunner bought in 1970. She still has both. After camping in VW 45 years we splurged & got an '04 Roadtrek M/H for 2-3 vacations a year.
