1940 headlight hardware
Working on assembly of my 40 Tudor and am having trouble sourcing headlight hardware. I have a pair of buckets but that’s about it. These will need new adjusting screws, springs, fasteners, and retaining rings.
Can’t seem to find a single source for these parts. Hate to abandon the buckets that I own and buy reproduction buckets. Anyone know who is selling these parts? |

Re: 1940 headlight hardware
Try Early Ford V8 Sales. That is where I got the small parts when I redid mine.

Suggestion. regarding the parking light lenses, The passenger car lenses are flat. The ones for the pickup are different. They are convex shaped. With these, and a little ingenuity, the bulb can be located in the hump so it has better visibility. Should you equip the car with turn signals this is a definite advantage.

Re: 1940 headlight hardware
The screws are pretty common to most headlamps. I've seen them on a variety of makes and older models. You might find the springs along with the screws in a wrecking yard that handles older model cars. Check e-Bay and type in "headlamp adjusting screws" on the search. Lots of options and there is even a set with the springs for about $13.
