Ken, that was the longest trip I've ever made in my '35 fordor sedan, 7200 miles. That was a trip of a lifetime, and something I've wanted to do since my early 20's.

Thanks for posting those pictures, mercman. They look better than the ones I took :-)
My car had about 3,000 miles of road dirt on it at that point, but I refused to wash it for the concourse, and the judges were not happy about that.

Here is a photo of JM 35 Sedan 1935 Ford Sedan five years later in 2018.
Notice that the wheels are now painted red and the car has a set of "sand-shoes".

Not many sleeps to go now.
Pity that I cannot attend.

Trevor, wish you could have made it. You've done a super job in the past taking many great pictures!

Our friend Lawrie, is in Pennsylvania now. I think he said he was planning to hitch a ride on a Ford Trimotor before heading to Dearborn for the '23 GNM.

Looking forward to the meet and seeing my Ford friends.

Going to miss talking to my RG8 friend Alan Wall, who has passed away.

I went to the EFV8 Central meet at Auburn in 2011, which was my first club event.

I only knew a couple of people.

Some guys don't want to talk.

Alan was a great guy and took the time to talk to a new guy like me.

I was so intrigued by his original 1932 Ford at the 2011 EFV-8 Auburn meet.

He spent quite a lot of time telling me about it.

No attitude and always nice to me.

I knew I was in the right club after talking to him at the Auburn 2011 meet.

RIP Alan. You are missed.

You'll be an excellent candidate for the Eastern National Meet in 2024 in the Thousand Island region of upstate New York.

Well it starts today (Sunday)
Weather is looking (??) like it will be wet during down hours (night) so far.
As a follow up -- the Friday travel was a lot longer than planned. Fourteen hours plus -- Chicago, Indiana and Michigan all had road construction. Not to mention that our kidney and dental work suffered from the bumps in the road.
Hope everyone has safe travels.

Folks,
Hope to get there tomorrow evening and have a good dinner!
Look me up and you can teach me some things about these early V8 era cars!
Regards,
Chris and Cheryl

Just arrived in the 32 Fordor with my two friends from Sweden. It’s been raining since we crossed the border at Detroit. Looking forward to a great week! Ted
