On the scuff plate next to the B pillar (door hinge post) there is a recessed square hole. Given the matching hole on the sub rail and frame I assume it is for a carriage bolt. Was this bolt chrome or nickel to match the aluminum finish of the scuff plate or is painted chassis black or body color.

Ed, I believe it is cadium plated. I don't think Henry would have chrome plated it. Well at least mine is a carriage bolt and cadium plated.

Cadmium plated (S-7) like all of the other body-to-frame fasteners.
