Default Deluxe heater for 1948 f1

I found evidence that my 1948 f1 originally had a deluxe heater in it. I would like to know if anyone might have a line on a complete unit that would be for sale. I wanted to post it here because I hear there are some not so scrupulous people cruising the wanted ads.
Thanks.

heater fan assembly was located under right front fender for fresh air intake--therefor most of these units rotted away pretty fast. I have accumulated a lot of parts but as of yet do not have a fan assembly

Check with a fellow on FTE (ford-trucks.com) 48-56 forum who goes by firstfider. Denny has been hunting and restoring F1 series heaters for some time. He just completed a raid of old bone yards and may have pieces available.

Thanks fortyniner. I reached out to him through an email and after a few days now, I have heard nothing from him. So, I am hoping there is someone else out there that can help me.

I have bought parts from Denny several times. He is always quick to reply and ship. Maybe send him another e-mail, sometimes they end up getting automatically sent to a spam folder.
His phone number is also on FTE. I don't feel comfortable sharing it without his permission on another board, but a quick search on the 48-56 forum for his e-mail will find it.

Hi; I have all the sheet metal parts all cleaned and painted. The snorkel and fresh air parts also.. No fan motor or core. Possibly a '50 as the motor would be at the core location in the box. Cheap $80+shp say $100 total. Newc

I believe the one I need would have the motor outside of the cab under the fender connected to the box inside via a flange.
I will contact you if I find that the fresh air metal parts would be correct.
Thank you.

This is the setup for the 48-50 F1 fresh air unit. Blower motor mounted outside the cab (not a great design).

Yep, that's the one I need. Plus all of the components inside the cab. It is sort of hokey, but that's kinda why I like it so much. Sort of like vacuum wipers. Adds to the charm of the truck.
