Default V8-60 Intake Manifold

Hi folks. I'm wondering if a 2-2 intake manifold was ever available that had the carbs mounted back far enough so as to be able to mount a small alternator in front of them? Any info appreciated, Thanks, Marvin

I don't think there were ever any made to accomodate a gen or alt. I've owned and looked at a lot of different brands for the V8-60 over the years but never saw that configuration. One must realize that speed equipment for the V8-60 was mainly geared for racing as midgets and boats. Very few people in those days ever ran "hot" V8-60 engines in street cars. Hot rodders swapped them for the big flatheads and tossed the '60's out back for the racers. Just my observations.

Anderson Design Speed Equipment Salem Oregon makes a V8 60 dual carb intake manifold that appears to have enough room for a small alternator. There is a prior post on the H.A.M.B.
