Default 1942-48 Convertible top snap supplier?

I have a customer looking for top snaps for his 1942 convertible. Does anyone know of a supplier?

Sorry for the poor quality of the photo... customer supplied it.

You might try Restoration Specialties in PA 814-467-9842

Also Hirsch Automotive Products 800-828-2061. They sell tops and top material, don't know if they have small parts.

I believe there are some special break away snaps at the rear on both sides of the 46-8 tops. Without them the top rips in that area when put down.

Any good trim shop that installs convertible tops should have the snaps. Be sure to get the tool to set the snaps. Don't rely on the "self releasing" snaps. They are not reliable! Don't ask me how I know! We used to get convertible top parts from LeBaron/Bonney, but they are gone. I have a sign on the inside of the header of my car to remind me to release all snaps before lowering the top.

It looks sort of like a Tenax fastener but a better photo would be needed. The Loxx type fasteners are also similar. Side curtain push snaps may also be related but the fit into body sockets like on the Model A open cars. There are a multitude of twist lok type fasteners but they are mostly used in aviation applications.
