Default Correct hubcaps for 1939 standard

Seems like there are slight differences in the late ‘30s wide 5 hubcaps.

Can anyone tell/show me how to identify the right ones for 1939 Standards?

Here is a photo that should be a 39 standard.

I've restored two '39 standard coupes to date and was amazed at how difficult it was to locate correct caps for each project.
This set? I had nearly 30 hours of labor in their restoration, NOT counting painting.

How many different wide 5 caps where there?
I have a set of 36 and 37 that I thought where the same and a set of 38s which are different from the early ones.

Just so that you don't get confused, this is the correct Hubcap for the 1938 Ford Standard. Notice that the tips of the "V" reach to near the ends of the Chrome Insert, while on the 1939 Ford Standard, the V8 pressing is much smaller.

Wide Five Hubcaps. There are actually 10 Wide Five Hubcaps, however, the 1938 Spyder Hubcap was carried over for 1939 unchanged, so that means that there are 9 different Wide Five Hubcaps.

Then there are 36/37 and 38 Lincoln Zephyr, 39 Mercury, and 41 Ford 3/4 ton, so that adds 4 more to the Wide Five hubcap list.

If you are counting Wide Five Hubcaps, Mercury offered 4 different Wide Five Hubcaps in 1939. See above picture of the Early and Late 1939 Mercury Hubcaps, including the 2 Accessory Full Stainless Steel Hubcaps.

Goofy wheels grow on you, my jalopy started with wires, then later in construction 37 axles were found and used. Found later small pattern wheels but by the time it was finished, left the wide 5’s. Got a bunch of caps so can mix & match, 37 not my favorite. Next time wires.
