What a waste
If the description of the vehicle beforehand is accurate and unless you are a hot rodder, what a waste!

Re: What a waste
For $500 it's a good price. There may still be a lot of Vickie-specific parts there.

Re: What a waste
Yup, there are likely some useful parts and like you say, at least it's not chopped.
Probably someone with big ideas but not the commitment to finish it. The whole thing probably seems a greater shame to me because they were not available here in the day. I've only ever seen a couple of them.

Re: What a waste
What am I missing? Except for the firewall and tank, the body looks stock to me. Has the visor, trim, all the hard parts to find.

Re: What a waste
Probably an original chassis out there in american Ebay just waiting for that body. Put the chassis from that one under a glass body and sell it as unfinished project.
Win/win.

Re: What a waste
The Brookville chassis would be sellable. Find a stock chassis, it does have a good title, so there are some good points. It will be interesting what it sells for, if it sells.

Re: What a waste
I don't see any shame here.
No gas axe has got it yet. Let the restorers here bid and "save" it. I still chuckle over a sticker on a rod that said..... Rescued from a Restorer. |

Re: What a waste
Looks like some one is making a $20000, hotrod out of $ 35000 car.

Re: What a waste
Rescued from a Restorer is unfortunately getting more common up here in Canada as they feel it's cheaper to take a restored car to use the steel body for a hot rod and discard the rest of the parts for sale.

Re: What a waste
^^^ thats a phenomenon we are seeing alot of here, older restorations being hot rodded^^^...from their standpoint it makes sense, the body work is done and complete chassis bring 2500 or so..when the car sells for 35k its a no brainer from the profit side..sadly most get the saw..that Vicky has been spared so far,but all it takes is a moron with body tape, sawzall and a 12 pack..

Re: What a waste
Or another way to look at it is the more that get rodded, the fewer originals out there and the more valuable the originals become.

Re: What a waste
Well, by about 2050, all gas/petrol/diesel powered vehicles will be banned, someone may as well have some fun in them on the road now , because the only place they will be seen is in the museum.

I wonder what might happen to it......will it go to a restorer or a hot-rodder? There is one in Washington on craigslist... https://boise.craigslist.org/cto/d/1...282688316.html .
