Default Feeling emotional today..

Pulled my dads Roadster out today to give it a bath. Poor thing is starting to get pretty tough (38k miles on restoration). I've thought about all the places its been; Atlantic Ocean twice, Niagara Falls, Wisconsin twice, Maine, New York Finger lakes, ect. We have owned the car 3 times in 31 years; restored in 1985, sold in 1990, bought back in 1995, sold in 2005, bought back in 2008. My dad and I have put on 36k of the 38k that it has on it. Second set of rubber, 2nd motor (it threw a rod on me when I was 17, turned out the crank journal was egg shaped) and 3 sets of brakes. I drove this car to high school prom, my wedding day, and countless Sunday drives to the lake. We have had 15 or so Model A's since I was 5 and I still have a soft spot for this one.

Can understand your feelings. The years intensify what means most, while a lot of the rest tends to fade. Enjoy the car and the good memories.

Awesome roadster!! My grandpa found just a rusted 29 Roadster body in a field while arrowhead hunting around Hereford, TX back in the 70s, and restored it in 78-79. We've had it ever since, and every show it's been to it's won first prize, everytime.
