Default Henry ford, edsel ford & henry (2)

Just like to share these two photographs of Henry Ford & Edsel and Henry Ford with Henry Ford (11)
These two original photographs were purchased on Ebay from Historicalimages-market who are selling thousands of original photographs which were being held in the archives of the Detroit Times. Pasted to the back of the Henry and Edsel photograph is an original newspaper cutting showing when the picture was published on Apr 26 1962 and another date of Jan 11 1927 which I would assume is the date the picture was taken.
Could this have been a publicity photograph leading up to the impending release of the Model A?
The second photograph shows Henry Ford and Henry Ford (ll) together with congressman Carl C Michener. Dated July 8 1944. just three years before Henry Fords death.

I read that he had been collecting stuff destined for the Henry Ford Museum for a number of years before its construction though I don't think the museum officially opened until the late '20s. There is a related photo of both of them standing next to this lathe in the booklet reprint captioned "Matchless Model A".

Supposedly Edsel as a youngster lost a tip of a finger to a running lathe his father had, I wonder if this is the culprit.
