Default 4 bander to flathead v8 questions.help me please

I have 31 model a open wheel build...i just came across a 1948 flathead v8 motor an tranny...i like to put it in my 31...difficulty?? Motor mount different? How about tork tube ? Same or not? Ive done a ton of customs of muscle car era...this is all new to me..but im very experienced in fabrication..just like to know what im getting into....thanks everyone...my build can be seen on fb...derekswackygarage

Post this in the General Discussion section. I would put it in the Model A, and Early V8 areas.

its not too bad,
i did a 37 flathead in my 30 model a... shorten the torque tube, fab motor mounts, trans mount, fab pedal brackets. install a f1 box.. split the whish bones. fabricate ebrake system.. hydraulic brakes.. or you cen go through snyders and get the bellhousing bracket to use the stock pedals on a v8 trans. thats a cool way to do it also.
