Default Engine purring today

Got the AA project out and about today - still editing driving video - whole lotta shakeyness and wind noise. I need to borrow a gopro and film with that.

Thought I would share this video of it idiling fully retarded and me messing with the idle screw. At the end the click you hear is me turning the "ign switch" off. That and the coolant puddle was because I just switched to antifreeze and filled I too full. It will find its happy medium.

Years ago, I had an older guy tell me not to idle at a retard because it would damage the bearings. I guess he was used to old 60's worn out engines?

Always set your idle mixture at a slow, retarded idle, you can tune it to a GNATS' EYEBROW!

As compared to the instruction manual you did just fine.

Thanks! Yea at the end I turned the idle up a tad and left it. Is that a good retarded idle speed?
