Default Passenger window metal rail

When installing the glass in rear doors I found the riser arms popping out of the metal channel on the bottom of glass. Can I just get a wood block and tap this metal channel about 1" left or right OR is there another/correct way to move this without breaking glass. Thanks

You could tap it left or right, but keep in mind that the glass channel setting tape may not move with the channel.
