I'm new at this, what are the lines attached to the intake manifold?

There should only be one vacuum line for the windshield wiper motor - not sure what the other is for - possibly a second wiper or an accessory of some type ??

Possibly a vacuum gauge around the instrument panel.

Indeed, the second line (the one nearest to the driver) would possibly be for either a vacuum gauge, or for an accessory, e.g. a vacuum-powered fan, like one of these:
