Default heater control

Does this look like the correct heater control for my 49 F1?

I have one exactly like that in my 1950 F1. I think that the heater may have come from a 51 or 52 F1, however. I have seen pictures of other heater controls for 48 to 50 and they are 3 or 4 in a row under the dash. Sorry if I have only muddied the waters. I would like to know why mine is like yours also.

The type of heater determines the proper control unit. If you have a fresh air unit (not a recirc), with the temperature control valve mounted in the firewall, and a reversing motor - that's the right control. Otherwise, it does just look good.

I suppose I should post a pic of the heater. I don't honestly know if it's even a Ford unit. At least this control would look period correct.

As most heaters were dealer installed, there are a variety which are period correct. Pics would be helpful.

Ha! Finally remembered to take a photo of the heater that's in my truck. Look familiar?
