So what are the dates for Macungie meet this year? What are the best days for Model A's ? Does Swampy's group still bring a couple of kegs of beer for the guys??

saturday aug 7th. i think is the main day for the car show. check the web site

Yes, Saturday Aug.7 is the main car show day. My car # is 1213 to show ya how many cars will be there. It's a FUN meet... One of the bands last year was a 50's group [super] if they booked again for this show?.

I don't think we've been there in the last 15 years or so, is the flea market still worthwhile or has it gone the way of all others?

I was told must be pre- register. As far as parts .Flea market has gone the way of others. Slim picken . Some very nice 33/34 Ford parts were there last year that 1 dealer had. There's a locale Model "A" club with a couple of spots with some good parts. depends on what you are looking for.Sheel metal Forget about it. Orginial useable hoses,fan belts ,wire harness forget that too. [for years now.] Like everywhere else.

How's parking, crowds, food, etc. for spectators?

You can park on the streets for free or there are a lot of parking lots for $$. Admission is about $ 7.00 Plenty of food. Not much shade so it is pretty hot. Flea market is very smal ( not as big as Cowtown). Approx 100 to 150 Model A's on Saturday out of the 1500 cars.

I meant to stay the flea market is very small compared to the Salem County Fair ground across from Cowtown in the spring.

Pre registration is mandatory. I have been going to Macungie for the last 6 or 7 years and usually find something in the flea market. The flea market is at least twice as large as Cowtown if not larger and includes a car correl. Like most swap meets, if you find something that you need, it was a good one. Be prepared for heat and humidity as it is usually the worst of the summer that weekend.

Thanks for the information. I thought they use to have maybe 100 to 150 Model As there but I guess times have changed.
