Default 41 ford coupe rear window seal

Got a Dennis Carpenter rear window seal with the groove for the stainless trim, I used some dish soap and put the seal on the window with the bonded seam on the bottom edge in the center. Does it matter if the seam goes on the bottom or top? Asking because the lower corners of the seal look to standout slightly, but if I put pressure on them like when the window is installed they seem to seat ok ... Waiting for headliner to install rear window. Also does the stainless trim go on after window is installed? Thanks .

on our '41 fordor, I installed seam at the top. also installed chrome after window was installed. lubed the chrome up after a good cleaning and it slipped right in the seal. believe I started at on of the bottom corners. was 30 yrs ago!
