Front left locking up
I've tried backing off the wedge adjustment but the front brakes lock up but release correctly. Any suggestions? Visual inspection looks ok. New break job six months ago. Thanks for the help

Re: Front left locking up
Are you using floaters?
Are the backing plate bolts tight? If the bolts are loose or the king pin and bushings worn, then the brake assembly can rotate forward when the brakes are applied, and this will apply the brakes even harder. |

Re: Front left locking up
I had this problem with my AA truck . Turned out the spring perch was loose in the axle . This was not readily visible only a slight rust stain around the base of the perch was the clue . Very luckily the perch was not seized in the axle so I tightend it up and cured the lockup . As the axle rotated on brackeing the brake lever was affected by "servo action"

Re: Front left locking up
Make sure your wheel bearing nut is tightened properly. Just takes a minute to check.
