Has anyone used one of the voltage regulators like the one sold by Mac's part number 28-20675-1. I see that Fun Projects also sells them. Just lookin for some input. Thanks

I use the one from Fun Projects.

Follow the instructions very carefully when you install it and once set up it works great....

I have only good things about any of the ones sold. Be careful and follow the directions exactly on any you buy. I use the one from Tom Wesenberg

I ended up buying 2 from Macs after they wouldn't warranty the first. Each lasted only seconds. I think they were marked/packaged wrong.

I then went with one from Tom, been working for years. Its the only one I can recommend.

I've had a Fun Projects regulator in my Model A since I've owned it (17years) and it functions correctly.

I have used one from Macs for years. Works great, I have the 3rd brush set to keep the battery up for night driving, but with the voltage regulation, no boiling of the battery in daytime driving. I'm very happy with it.

I have a new one from Fun Projects which I have not installed yet because it is set up to connect only to the post on the generator. If you have the two wires coming out of the generator instead of the post, you cannot install it without making some modification to be able to connect a wire to the cutout.

Standing Elk, there is another place to get a very reliable voltage regulator. James Peterson makes an excellent quality band type voltage regulator. Go the Vince Falter's "Ford Garage" page and get all the information on the VR.

Tom Wesenberg. Maybe you'll need to go to the new 'ford vintage' to find him.

Yes, I visit 3 different Model A forums, but do most of my posting on ford vintage. I thought I sent you a PM, but I'll try again. I do prefer email, as my PM box is often full.

You can find me mostly on the ford vintage also for obvious reasons but under a different name.

Go to one of his posts, click on his name an the option to email him will appear.

Go to community in the header, click on members list. On the right there is search members, click and enter Tom Wesenberg. When his page shows up again click on his name and you will find how to email him.

If these don't work you have your setup wrong on your computer.
