Had the same type of wonderful experience a few years ago.

We are indeed blessed to have so many wonderful Model A Supply and Service companies to meet our hobby needs for restoration.

dumb question: does he also receive your backing plates and line them up with the shoes/drums?

and yes, H.L., we really are fortunate to have a handful of real craftsmen and honest vendors, and numerous experienced, helpful Barn members. Lucky us, because we have issues with these cars that original owners never faced.

Yes Henry,
Having been on the supply side for years I can attest to the fact that it is all about the people. How we loved them and how we miss them. Headed to Hershey soon to get my people fix. stop by CV 5-10 and say howdy to the Rainmaker Ron

Attached (I hope) is a PDF file of an article that appeared in several Model A newsletters. It is a eulogy to Randy's late father Mel. Randy continues the cottage industry started by his father years ago. And he carries on the same traditions of quality work, reasonable prices, generosity and excellent customer attention.

Tom----What a nice tribute to Mel, and what an interesting life he led. I also have a full set of his cast iron drums and shoes on my Model A; so nice that Randy is following in his footsteps.

I have to say that Randy Gross and the company he runs is great. After reading here about his brake drums, and some positive responses from questioning some friends, I ordered four drums. The shop I took them to for swaging commented on how great they looked.

In the process, I needed a replacement for a hub, and Randy absolutely ben over backwards and went above and beyond to make everything right and was really great at serving the customer. You just don't see that much these days.

Thank you Randy!
