I think his last post was in March 2021.

Last I talked to Tim was in May 2021. He told me at that time he fell and broke his left hip, then 2 weeks later developed pneumonia. When we talked he had just got home from the hospital.

I have tried several times since then with no response. I hope he is OK.

I miss Purdy too! He has helped me with matters concerning Pertronix coils and Simmons carburetors. Anything he says about Model-A's I take as gospel.

Last time he logged into Ford Barn was in August.

He lives in Alabama but I don't know what city.

Pretty sure that obituary wasn't him unless he'd moved up here recently. I recall communicating with him many years ago and seem to recall him living down around Montgomery, possibly in the area west of Montgomery. He's 79 years old and been fooling with Model A's since he was a teen so either Tim did a good job of flying under the radar or I'm mistaken about where in the state he lived. I received an email from Purdy’s wife Deb this evening. Purdy ( Tim ) passed away on July 17, 2021 from complications from a heart condition. She says he loved the FordBarn and his FordBarn friends. May his soul Rest In Peace and our sincere condolences to his family. God bless him, Wayne

Several years ago he left the barn for awhile….I think he tired of some feedback he got. I wrote him and mentioned how much most of us enjoyed and respected him…..so he came back and thanked me for giving him the nudge. He was so knowledgeable and experienced….a great Model A friend…..rest in peace Purdy…..
