Flex Hoses are Dayco #81391. Size is 2" x 1 3/4" x 19". These run about $25-$30 most places but I found them at Advance for $9.79 each.

Here's another picture.

Stretch, I'm not running any filter currently. I've tried a few and can't find one I like with those air filter housings.

If you were to find something that fit they would be too small and would choke out the motor. I install copper mesh in mine. Looks good and keeps the bugs out. Just don't follow someone on dirt roads.

I do not like flex hoses. I have no scientific proof but it seems to me that the ridges would hamper efficient flow of the coolant. I do remember from some fluid mechanics studies at one time, that the smoother the inside of a pipe is, the more flow you get.

Solidaxel thanks for the tip.

MGG, these Dayco flex hoses have ridges on the outside to allow flex but are smooth on the inside.

Any type hose will flow many times more than can pass through the thermostats, and more than the water pumps can supply.

38coop....Those air cleaners sure are the 'nuts' ain't they?

I first noticed them about 2016 when they made a brief appearance on the H.A.M.B. They were being made by "Grace & Company". Apparently, Grace didn't supply them for very long. As super cool as these things look, they also appear to be pretty high quality as well as free-flowing. Of course, they are chromed, and that is expensive now-a-days. I'm guessing that they're not cheap to produce, and the price required to produce them is likely more than many folks wanted to pay for an air cleaner. What a shame, as they're a beautiful product.

Grace is apparently NOT producing them any more. I found a reference to a lakeheaders.com outfit, but they seem to be an extension of the Grace outfit, and show the air cleaners as NOT available.

The original guy's name is Chris Hedrick. Maybe you could contact him at [email protected] and convince him to whoop-up another batch. He was originally advertising these at $200/pair back in 2016. Coop
