Default Another standard roadster top question!!

Gentlemen: I have enclosed a couple of pictures that show the side links which connect to the back of the top irons. There are pins just to the right of my labels. The pin is about .255/.260" in diameter withe an almost spherical end. The height of the pin is about .300/.310" tall. QUESTION: Do these pins remain in the top when it is being closed?? A friend told me that the pins are to be pulled out when closing the top. Thank You in Advance!!

Yes, the pins have to be pulled out for the top to come all the way down, And I mean simply separated from the second piece they go into.

Do you know of someone that makes the top bows for the 30 standard roadster? If not, could you take the measurements of the bows so that i can try to make a set.
Thanks,
Jesse
