Re: VIN decoding
The coworker tells me the fellow who has the VIN decode book is a website friend. He hasn't met him personally.

Re: VIN decoding
The owner of the book "Cars & Parts Catalog of Canadian Car I.D. Numbers" told my coworker he would not lend his book.
However my brother said that he had that same book and is now trying to locate it. Could take him a while. His library is contained in boxes. |

Re: VIN decoding
DAMN!
What an effort while having no correct text. The DIST itself is a 1968/ IMCO. The intake manifold (at least the oil filler pipe) is early FE.

When the snow season is gone I will scrape off the grease and hopefully find a casting number. |

Re: VIN decoding
You would be better off making a new thread for this question. Using old threads is confusing. I don't have Ford of Canada manuals that new so I won't be of much help for a 1961. You may want to mention what type of car it is. I would assume it's a Galaxie model with an FE engine but I don't know without information.
