Default Update: Has anyone heard from Purdy Swoft update

I received an email from Purdy’s wife Deb this evening. Purdy ( Tim ) passed away on July 17, 2021 from complications from a heart condition. She says he loved the FordBarn and his FordBarn friends. May his soul Rest In Peace and our sincere condolences to his family. God bless him, Wayne

I’ve asked the monitors to place update on the title as I don’t know how. Wayne

Sorry to hear this. Altho I have never met Tim I considered him a good friend. We had a lot of good conversations (off line) about Model As. Rest in Peace my friend. You will be missed.

Sad to hear. I always looked out for his posts. Always helpful, always sensible and always very pleasant.
His experience has already been missed.
Rest in peace Purdy.

Bad news. We have lost too many recently. I figured that had to be the explanation as to why we hadn’t heard from him.

Oh no. Tom and Purdy. Two very knowledgeable people that would help anybody anytime. A big loss for the barn. I still have Purdy's brake adjusting method in my file's. God bless them both. Sorry for your loss Deb.

Several years ago he left the barn for awhile….I think he tired of some feedback he got. I wrote him and mentioned how much most of us enjoyed and respected him…..so he came back and thanked me for giving him the nudge. He was so knowledgeable and experienced….a great Model A friend…..rest in peace Purdy…..

Default Has anyone heard from Purdy Swoft

I’ll miss him as well.

Does anyone know what his Purdue Swoft name meant? Maybe pretty soft? Pretty swift?

His wife Deb says it was “ pretty swift “. His way of saying he knew what he was doing. Wayne

A Fordbarn Friend, helpful, welcoming, good guy. I had a plan to stop at his place but we have really cut back on our traveling, too late now. He will stay on the 'Friends' list in my Profile.
