Default 1936 5w coupe interior overhead light removal

Hi guys, this is most likely the simplest thing to do but I cannot figure it out. How do you remove the interior overhead light glass and on/off toggle switch?I simply want to replace the bulb as the car is 90% converted to 12v.
I see what looks like a snap ring but my eyesight isn't what it was and see no holes in the ring for removal? Am I missing something ?

There's a gap in the snap ring. Use something sharp to get under it and remove the ring. Watch out to make sure the lens does not fall and break. No need to change the switch. just the bulb.
