Default 1946 ford convertible

Say, Looking for any info (reference manual or book) dedicated to the 42-48 ford convertible. I just got a new project and want some reference material to ensure I have all the parts needed....Top parts, body mounts, etc. specific to the converts. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks Fordbarn.

You really need to buy a copy of the early Ford V-8 club book 41 -48.

As to the top, you should have a Ford Body Parts list book. They are on the internet from time to time.
The tops for the 42 48 are mostly the same. 42 uses electric motors and 46-48 use hydraulic system. The 42 ecectric system is NOT the same as 41. Also 42 tops had only 2 eccentric bolts per side and later ones had up to 4 per side.
I have a chart showing locations for body mounts. PM me if you want me to email.
If you are going to take the body off the frame don't do anything till you weld or bolt braces across the body between the A pillar and B pillar
Good luck
Dick
