Those pictures help us realize the lifestyle most of us enjoy today hasn't always been. It's a good bet that most of those men have gone on, but we are still enjoying the fruits of their labors.

Back in the 60's I worked for the Bullard Machine too co. they had 2 100 ton furnaces that pored almost every day. To feed the furnaces they fed it with cast iron engine blocks as well as iron billets. I would get the foreman of this department to get me ford blocks with bearing caps for $10 apiece and the cranks were free. The Danbury speedway was never short of blocks.

I think we are seeing a multi spindle drill/ream/tap machine that is working on a flat head Ford V-8 in the early 1930's.
