Default Leakless or not? Never mind! Found my answer.

How can you tell if you have the "leakless" type water pump?

I have a '29 Coupe that I purchased and the previous owner did not know much about the car.

Is there a way to tell?

Well, a little more research tells me the answer......if it's not leaking it's leakless
So, I won't worry about it. I believe my noise issue is from my fan. When I replaced the steel 2 blade with an aluminium 2 blade I may not have tightened the nut down enough.
Also discovered the gen bolt was loose.....all fixed up now!

The leak less pumps that I've used were noisy unless I used water pump lubricant in the radiator .

Another way to tell if it's leakless is to wait until it starts leaking, and then find that you can't install new packing rings to stop the leak!
